The ‘Join This Facebook Group And Get Free Stuff’ scam has turned up once again and this time it’s targeting unsuspecting users with the promise of a free Apple iPad. The scam claims that you will be part of a group of beta testers for the iPad and once you join the group you’ll be [...] The iPad from Apple is the latest and greatest new tech toy that everybody seems to need to have. If you’re one of those people please be careful in how you go about procuring one or selling one. In Daly City, California a couple were arrested for robbing their victims after responding to ads on [...] It seems that the gift card scam on Facebook that I recently posted about is not just limited to Whole Foods. It seems that there are scores of these scams on Facebook as PC Mag reports. One such scam would promise Facebook users a $1000 gift card to Best Buy to the first 20,000 people [...] Online scammers have absolutely no heart what so ever. They don’t care whose sympathies they prey upon with their phony sob stories. Such as a disabled vet from Wisconsin who was severely injured in Afghanistan. The man and his wife did not end up losing any money to the scammers however they lost something [...] A woman from Boise, Idaho recently answered a job ad on an online classifieds site. The ‘employer’ asked her for a $10 application fee. Right there that should have been a red flag.
